Nook Stool — Better Living Through Design

Made from a single piece of Varioline, this folded fellow looks to be a surprisingly sturdy little stool.

On Saturday we went to check out Sushi Mori on Barnet Highway in Coquitlam.

One step inside and you’ll notice the decor. The origami was neatly done, the trees added color to brighten the mood and lanterns give the restaurant a pleasant glow. It’s like dining outside on a warm summer night.

James and I ordered Sushi Boat B. The food was fantastic and the sushi was fresh. I forgot to photograph the boat but it looked just as good as it tasted! I think we’ve found our new favorite sushi restaurant. I look forward to going back and trying other things on their menu!

Another year older…

Today Yogi was admitted to the vet for surgery to repair a cracked nail. The top of the nail on his back paw split in two and lifted up exposing the quick. Yowza! They put him under, removed the top of the nail, cleaned up the area, bandaged him up and sent him home with a slew of meds. Poor Yogi!

It’s been quite the month for vet visits…it’s a good thing the pets are cute.
